Custom Telemetry Collectors

The workflow for ingesting custom telemetry into Crosswork Assurance has been simplified in recent releases.

Telemetry ingestion is a paid customization service provided by Cisco CX and Partners.

Pre-requisite:

A Telegraf configuration file that collects the desired metrics from the data source must be available. This configuration is provided by Cisco CX and Partners.

Workflow:

• Follow the instructions for configuring a Telemetry Collector, choose the "custom" option, and use the file upload feature to upload a Telegraf.conf configuration file.

  This creates a custom Telemetry Collector that is specific to the use case/configuration designed by CX/Partner.

• Follow the instructions to deploy the Telemetry Collector and Sensor Collector (in either Docker or Kubernetes) to get the data flowing into Crosswork Assurance.

• Leverage the ingestion staging feature to curate and edit the incoming data to meet the customer's specific needs/preferences.

These features are all leveraged by Cisco CX and Partners to design and implement custom telemetry ingestion from various data sources in the customer network.
